TMS for the Treatment of Depression

TMS for the Treatment of Depression

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The brain is an integrated control center compiled of 86 billion neurons. When these neurons are out of sync with one another, this can result in an array of various symptoms, including depression. Mental Health needed a non-invasive and non-chemical solution. Achieve TMS is a clinic that integrates science in order to restore brain balance. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) was developed in coordinated efforts of science, psychiatry and the medical community to develop an evidence-based approach to a complex problem.

TMS brings the frequencies in multiple areas of the brain back in balance to promote mental wellness. While medication often can bring relief, they also have negative side effects, and can result in change to other areas of the brain, causing the brain to run out of balance. Multiple other factors or life events can also disrupt brain balance, such as:

  • Age
  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Shift work and sleep cycle disruption
  • Concussions or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
  • Drug/alcohol or long-term prescription drug use
  • organic issues such as Autism or ADHD
  • other Mental Health Issues

Data shows that TMS is effective in treatment of depression with up to a 75% response rate in treatment-resistant patients. Many patients feel positive effects within the first 10-15 treatments. With symptoms under control, patients can experience life in a new way.
